- Verified customer concern, brake lights stay illuminated regardless of pedal position and ignition position. vehicle can be completely shut off and key out of vehicle and doors locked and brake lights will stay on, Perform inspection. Tech inspected components and found brake light circuit active and on before fuse. Performed test of brake light switch and verified switch is functioning normal at this time and is able to shut off and turn on lights, although when testing switch tech noticed brake pedal switch pad missing. Installed new brake pedal switch pad and no adjustment to brake light switch was needed. Brake lights now functioning normally.
